Flashback Friday: Stein still unaware of what's happening at the Southern border

Josh Stein still doesn’t get it.

He still refuses to comment on the illegal immigrant on the terror watchlist being captured by Gates County law enforcement. 

While refusing to say anything about that case, he slips in a request from his taxpayer-funded office for “fentanyl scanners” at the border. 

Cynically, he thinks this is being “tough” on drug traffickers that directly led to the deaths of over 13,000 of North Carolinians over the past decade.

This video that went viral while President Biden was in Texas yesterday of Texas National Guard soldiers being overrun should be a flashing red siren for someone who styles himself as North Carolina’s top law enforcement officer to take illegal immigration seriously.

What is Stein’s position, though?

He says sanctuary cities “don’t exist” while Democrat sheriffs brag about not cooperating with ICE agents. 

Does anyone have the courage to ask him about it?

“All of the poll-tested platitudes that are sure to come from liberal activist Josh Stein over the next eight months won’t put him in the Governor’s Mansion,” said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer. “Families across North Carolina see where he really stands - in support of President Biden’s destructive open border policies and against law enforcement doing their jobs to keep our communities safe.”
