Meet Radical Rachel Hunt

Meet Radical Rachel Hunt: 3 bills, 3 bad ideas for North Carolina

Democratic Lt. Governor nominee Rachel Hunt wants you to know who her father is: former Governor Jim Hunt.

What she doesn’t want you to know is how far left her radical agenda would take North Carolina.

In the General Assembly, Radical Rachel sponsored nearly 100 bills in the most recent session. Luckily, almost all went nowhere. What did they do? Take a look at a few:

$500,000 for abortion

In Senate Bill 19, Hunt wanted to spend hundreds of thousands to “Codify Roe and Casey” - in effect, allowing abortion past 20 weeks. No wonder, then, that she earned an enthusiastic endorsement from Planned Parenthood.

$15 minimum wage

Senate Bill 440 would enact a statewide minimum wage of $15, which pretty much every small business owner and policy expert agrees is a terrible idea that would devastate and reduce North Carolina’s workforce.

State-mandated DEI in healthcare

Senate Bill 467 would require an “implicit bias training program for health care professionals” controlled by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.

“Radical Rachel Hunt and her far-left supporters would take North Carolina in the wrong direction. She’s found no limits she would support on abortion and no regulation she wouldn’t impose on small business,” said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.
