NCGOP Statement on Federal Voter ID Case

Following the denial of the State Board of Elections' motion to dismiss the upcoming Federal Voter ID case, please see the following statement from NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.

"When the Democrat-run State Board of Elections thinks this case should be dismissed, when bipartisan supermajorities enact legislation implementing the will of voters, and when Voter ID has been used without issue in two elections, it’s time to accept reality and move on."

"Plaintiffs in this case, aided by an activist Democrat-appointed judge, are intent to continue wasting taxpayer money on a case they will ultimately lose."

The case is set for May 6 in Winston-Salem.
