Where are Democrats on terror watchlist suspect living in NC illegally?

It’s been two days since news that local authorities' arrest of Awet Hagos in Gates County was on the terror watchlist. Hagos, who is now being held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after an hours-long standoff with Gates County law enforcement, entered North Carolina illegally over six months ago, according to news reports. 

NC Democrats have refused to comment about this individual.

Why? North Carolinians deserve to know.

"This is the latest example that President Biden's shameful open border policies have real-world consequences here in North Carolina. Democrats should speak up and support our law enforcement officers instead of playing party politics," said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.
