ATTENTION Joe Biden: We Fixed Your AD

June 7, 2020
For Immediate Release

Raleigh NC- Since Joe Biden stumbled into the nomination, he has remained locked in his basement in Wilmington, Delaware. When he's not plagiarizing President Donald Trump's COVID plans, he approves embarrassing ads like the one he released yesterday about the impact of Governor Roy Cooper's economic mismanagement on the state of North Carolina. While Biden sought to cast blame on President Trump, Biden’s ad vividly highlights the Democrat Governor's complete failure to put North Carolina's economy on the road to recovery.

President Trump is leading a nationwide economic recovery that has defied "experts” predictions. In May, experts predicted the American economy would continue to shed jobs due to COVID, but the United States added over 2.5 million jobs that month. Again, the Trump economy shocked the experts with the results June Jobs report as the USA added over 4.8 million new jobs. It is clear that President Trump is leading a historic American economic recovery and his policies will continue to Keep America Great.

Unfortunately, as the Biden ad painfully shows, the North Carolina economy is not sharing in the great American recovery due to Governor Cooper's failure of leadership. The job numbers tell the story. While the United States added more jobs, North Carolina remained flat from April to May and North Carolina is one of twelve states not to add jobs during May.

“As the job numbers painfully demonstrate Cooper’s failure to lead the state of North Carolina from his mansion bunker, this friendly fire ad from Biden shows that he can’t lead a successful campaign from his basement," NCGOP Spokesman Nzinga Johnson. "This November, the choice is clear, we can elect courageous leaders like President Trump and Dan Forest or be ruled by out of touch error-prone politicians who refuse to leave their bunkers."

The North Carolina Republican Party seeks to inform voters about their choices every election cycle. So in that spirit, we fixed Joe Biden's ad to make sure North Carolina voters were accurately informed about their choices this November.
