RALEIGH, NC-- Cal Cunningham’s campaign admitted to WFAE’s Steve Harrison Thursday that it is not worth meeting North Carolinians in-person, despite Cunningham himself earlier this week urging Joe Biden to do just that.

“What the Cunningham campaign is essentially saying is that they’re too good to meet with North Carolinians in-person unless they’re sure to win over some votes,” said NCGOP Press Secretary Tim Wigginton. “Their strategy is insulting to the people of this state, but it comes as no surprise given that Cunningham has spent his entire campaign hiding out in his ‘windowless basement,’ ducking debates and only emerging to fundraise with out-of-state liberals."

While Cunningham has not done a press gaggle since March and is refusing to participate in in-person events, Senator Tillis has traveled across the state meeting with North Carolina small businesses to discuss the need for further COVID-19 relief.
