If Cal Cunningham Won’t Campaign In-Person Because Of Safety Concerns, Why Won’t He Condemn Biden?

RALEIGH, NC-- As Cal Cunningham’s  ally, Joe Biden, holds in-person events and shakes the hands of strangers, Cunningham is still hiding in his “windowless basement” and using “safety” as his excuse as to why he’s not campaigning in-person. 

“If Cal Cunningham thinks it's unsafe to meet face-to-face, then he should denounce Joe Biden’s in-person events this week,” said NCGOP Press Secretary Tim Wigginton. “Cunningham knows full well that it’s possible to safely meet with North Carolinians, but is refusing to do so because he doesn’t want to defend his record of raising taxes, criticizing a program that saved one million jobs and using taxpayer dollars to fund his lavish home renovations.”

Newspapers across the state are noticing that Cunningham is refusing to meet with North Carolinians, underscoring the fact that he has spent his entire race avoiding questions about his extreme liberal agenda. Cunningham has not done a press gaggle since March.
