MLK Prayer Breakfast- Uncommon Resolve JOIN US for a Free Breakfast on February 23 ( R.S.V.P. Required By Feb 19 ) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rockfish Church 9949 Fayetteville Rd Raeford, NC 28376 Sponsored By The Frederick Douglass Foundation of NC and the Douglas leadership Institute. Special Guest Speaker is Rev. Clarence Henderson a former chairman of the Martin Luther King Commission and participant in the Woolworth's Lunch Counter Sit-In Greensboro 1960 where he "sat down" to "stand up" against segregation in the south. This breakfast will help "bridge the gap" between races and show how we have more in common than most think. We will also be recognizing Community Leaders for their work and be presenting the Trailblazer Award from the Frederick Douglass Foundation. R.S.V.P. is required. We will be taking up any donations for the breakfast and for the Frederick Douglass Foundation of NC and the Douglass Leadership Institute at this event.
