Bernie Sanders coming to North Carolina this weekend to campaign for Roy Cooper.

Taxes?

Bernie voted against the One Big Beautiful Bill, which prevented the largest tax increase in American history. 

Cooper did one better: not only did he oppose the President Trump's bill, he has a record of vetoing tax cuts for North Carolina families. 

Border Security?

Bernie has repeatedly opposed President Trump's efforts to secure the Southern border and supports ending deportations and ICE raids. 

Cooper also did better: he vetoed legislation requiring Sheriffs to cooperate with ICE three times and was responsible for over 500 illegals being released into North Carolina communities despite having federal detainer orders.

Transgender Ideology?

Bernie voted against a Senate bill to prevent men from competing in women's sports and was proudly promoted as "the best candidate for transgender people" in 2020.

Cooper, once again, vetoed bills to keep girls safe and to prevent gender transition surgeries for minors. 

"Radical Roy Cooper's 40-year record of high taxes and left-wing ideology fits right in with the Bernie Sanders-led Democrat Party. DC Democrats want a Yes Man in the U.S. Senate and Roy Cooper signed up for the job," said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.
