Election Integrity

Election Integrity: A Critical Issue We Face As A Party

Election integrity forms the foundation of every true democracy. It guarantees that election results truly reflect the will of the people. When doubts arise about the fairness of our elections, public trust in the entire system suffers, and the legitimacy of those elected is called into question.

We must protect the ballot from any form of tampering, fraud, or manipulation. This means verifying that only eligible voters participate, ensuring every vote is accurately recorded and counted, and maintaining full transparency throughout the entire process—from registration to certification. Strong safeguards around electronic voting systems are especially important to rebuild and sustain voter confidence.

North Carolinians should feel complete trust in our elections. They deserve to know their vote is secure, accurately counted, and that every legitimate ballot matters.

For several election cycles, the NCGOP has recruited, trained, and mobilized hundreds of attorneys and thousands of dedicated poll observers statewide. These volunteers have monitored key stages of the process, including absentee-by-mail reviews, early voting sites, Election Day polling locations, county canvasses, recounts, and protest hearings.

North Carolina's "Protect the Vote" initiative has earned national recognition as a model program. RNC leadership has even highlighted it as an example for other states to follow.

Volunteers are the heart of this effort. Attorneys, election monitors, poll observers, and poll workers all play essential roles in ensuring our elections remain safe, secure, and worthy of trust—especially as we head into 2026!
