For Immediate Release

Raleigh NC - Hurricane Isaias swept through North Carolina this week leaving hundreds of thousands without power, sadly killing two people and leaving a wake of destruction in its path. North Carolinians are strong people who will recover from this storm like the many storms that have come through in the past Unfortunately, we cannot be so confident in Governor Roy Cooper’s recovery leadership as he has a terrible track record of disaster management.

“Years later, Governor Cooper’s response to Hurricane Matthew is still lacking,” said NCGOP Press Secretary Tim Wigginton. “North Carolinians deserve a concrete plan with a real timeline from Governor Cooper given his past failures managing disaster recovery.”

Here are some of the most notable failures of Cooper’s disaster recovery failures:

WBTV NC has spent $0 of $200 million grant to rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Matthew, report says 2018
