Cooper Continues to Bungle Core Government Functions
August 18, 2020
For Immediate Release
Raleigh, NC - Yesterday, Governor Roy Cooper continued to fail North Carolina students. On the first day of school, the North Carolina virtual schooling system crashed almost as soon as it started. Apparently, Cooper is content with forcing over a million North Carolina kids to lousy learning situations. At the same Cooper’s education board blocked expansion of proven virtual schools, the Cooper administration failed to make sure the public school’s virtual system actually worked.
“Governor Cooper is a career politician with a long track record of incompetent management of basic government functions,” said NCGOP Tim Wigginton. “Cooper’s record demonstrates the importance of having leaders with private sector experience because Cooper’s government experience is an example of what not to do. Lt. Governor Dan Forest brings decades of successful project management to the table where Governor Cooper has a track record of failure.”
Here are some of the highlights of Cooper’s track record of failure:
NC Unemployment System
WCNC has extensively highlighted the failures of Cooper’s Department of Employment Security. The failures during the pandemic and the Cooper COVID shutdown have hurt thousands of North Carolina families.
