REMINDER: As Unemployment Continues to Go Up in North Carolina, Governor Cooper Still Refuses To Help The Unemployed
August 21, 2020
For Immediate Release
Raleigh, NC - The North Carolina Department of Commerce reported that North Carolina’s unemployment rate went up as the national average went down. A recent report indicated that North Carolina has the third most severe COVID-19 lockdown in the country despite having middle of the pack COVID-19 cases. Cooper is completely out of touch with the real world impact of his edicts and refuses to leave his taxpayer-funded mansion to meet with the people his policies are harming.
“President Trump is leading the great America comeback while Democrat Governor Roy Cooper continues to mismanage the COVID-19 crisis,” said NCGOP Tim Wigginton.“Governor Cooper’s economic record is miserable, and what’s even worse is that he cannot even properly manage a core government function like the Unemployment Department after three decades as a career politician.”
