Does Cunningham Agree With The Schumer-Pelosi “HEROES Act or Nothing” Position On COVID-19 Relief?

Raleigh, NC - President Trump took decisive action over the weekend to provide assistance to the American people because Cal Cunningham’s Democratic allies, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, are holding critically-needed relief hostage by taking a “HEROES Act or nothing” approach to COVID-19 relief legislation. While Senator Tillis has denounced the HEROES Act and called on Congress to forge bipartisan consensus to protect North Carolinians, Cal Cunningham has remained silent about whether he supports the liberal wish list that his benefactors are advocating for. 

“It’s despicable that Cal Cunningham has refused to speak out against the Pelosi-Schumer efforts to grind stimulus negotiations to a halt in order to pass the HEROES Act,” said NCGOP Press Secretary Tim Wigginton. “Cunningham’s inability to denounce the liberal wish list his party bosses are pushing at the expense of North Carolinians is just another example of how he will be a rubber-stamp for the radical left in the Senate.”
