Cal Cunningham Confirms He Modeled As Ambassador Of NC BBQ While Grilling Hot Dogs

For Immediate Release

Raleigh, NC - Monday night, Cal Cunningham confirmed that he was modeling “North Carolina Barbeque Ambassador” campaign swag while grilling hot dogs.  Cunninghamunited North Carolina on dunking on him since he posted on Twitter that there was nothing better than "BBQ" with a spatula, hot dog buns, and a gas grill. In North Carolina, Barbeque is a noun, not a verb. After getting busted, Cunningham immediately “clarified” that no self-respecting son of Lexington would equate grilling with barbecue. The question still remains as to exactly why he equated the two in the first place and only clarified after getting roasted on social media.

Sadly Cunningham's fake barbeque tweet is yet another example of how Cunningham will do or say anything to get elected. Here are some other chapters in this sad tale.

Cunningham claimed that he would not accept corporate PAC money. It turns out he simply launders it through other groups

Cunningham promised not to raise taxes, but after getting elected, he raised taxes by over a billion dollars.

Cunningham claimed he supported law enforcement then promised to join the fight of the protestors who want to abolish the police.

Cunningham criticized the PPP program while his company benefitted from it.

Cunningham modeled as an ambassador for North Carolina Barbeque while grilling hotdogs.

“Cunningham's decisions to model as an ambassador for NC barbeque while grilling hotdogs shows that he would do or say anything to get elected,” said NCGOP Press Secretary Tim Wigginton. “Cunningham’s decisions to mislead about barbeque is yet another example of Cunningham abandoning his principles for political expediency.”
