Raleigh, NC - The North Carolina Board of Elections announced Civitalk a group founded by Cal Cunningham donor, Tony Sease, mailed 11,000 pre-filled voter registration forms in direct violation of state law. In addition to being run by a Cunningham donor, Civitalk has only given to Democrat candidates and causes.
This is not the first time that a liberal-leaning group has violated North Carolina Election law. In June a different liberal group, The Center for Voter Information, mailed 80,000 invalid absentee ballot request forms. In each instance of these flagrant violations of North Carolina election law, the Democrat Controlled North Carolina State Board of Elections issued a press release but apparently took no action to deter these types of flagrant violations of North Carolina law.
“While Josh Stein and the state board leadership are working overtime to undo absentee ballot protections, they do little when their allies violate state election law,” said NCGOP Press Secretary Tim Wigginton. “It is time for Stein and the board to focus on running a fair election and enforcing the law even when it is their friends who are breaking it."
