BREAKING: Husband of Cunningham’s Mistress Calls On Cunningham To Drop Out
“Mr. Cunningham chose to repeatedly engage in activities that would hurt his family and a fellow junior officer and veteran….If elected, I can only imagine how misplaced his judgment would be for the people he’s charged to represent. I firmly believe Mr. Cunningham should drop out of the Senate race and ask that his behavior and actions be reviewed under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.”

RALEIGH, NC -- Hours after the Army Reserve announced they are investigating Cal Cunningham’s sexual misconduct with the wife of a combat veteran, the Raleigh News and Observer is reporting that the husband of the woman Cunningham had a sexual affair with is calling on Cunningham to withdraw from the race.
“Mr. Cunningham chose to repeatedly engage in activities that would hurt his family and a fellow junior officer and veteran,” Jeremy Todd said in a statement Wednesday to The News & Observer.
“If elected, I can only imagine how misplaced his judgment would be for the people he’s charged to represent,” Todd said. “I firmly believe Mr. Cunningham should drop out of the Senate race and ask that his behavior and actions be reviewed under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.”
The husband is an Army veteran who has served five tours of duty, and told the News and Observer that he and Cunningham “served with some of the same people. We know each other.” He also confirmed to the N&O that he knew Cunningham socially when he and his wife lived in Raleigh from 2013-2015.
