Raleigh, NC - Nancy Pelosi's liberal groups in Washington are lying about Congressman Richard Hudson's record on the military on behalf of his opponent, Patricia Timmons-Goodson. The claims that he "skipped out" on giving troops a pay raise and turned his back on the military are blatant lies.
A CBS station in Raleigh labeled the claims "mostly false."
Congressman Hudson didn't skip out on this bill or the military. Instead, he helped write provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act to give troops a 10% pay raise, increase support for military family education and expand access to the VA for veterans exposed to toxic burn pits.
"Patricia Timmons-Goodson is too soft on crime and too liberal for Congress. Now she's relying on Nancy Pelosi to lie about Richard. Voters, and most importantly our veterans, troops and their families, deserve to know the truth about his record," said NCGOP Press Secretary Tim Wigginton.
