Michael Whatley Hosts Protect Our Daughters Press Conference in Hendersonville with Payton McNabb

HENDERSONVILLE – Today, Michael Whatley hosted a Protect Our Daughters Press Conference in Hendersonville. He discussed Roy Cooper’s failure to protect our kids, including his veto of bills to keep men out of girls sports, to stop the transgender mutilation of kids, and of the Parents Bill of Rights.

Whatley was joined by Payton McNabb, a North Carolina women’s sports advocate and Independent Women’s sports ambassador who suffered a life-altering brain injury after being struck by a volleyball spiked by a biological male competing on an opposing women’s team. The impact left her unconscious and resulted in lasting physical and neurological effects, including impaired vision, partial paralysis, and balance issues. Since then, McNabb has become a leading national voice advocating to protect women’s sports, testifying before the North Carolina General Assembly and joining President Donald Trump as his guest at a joint address to Congress, where he recognized her advocacy.

As Senator, Whatley will put an end to Roy Cooper’s recklessness and will put the safety of our kids first.

“Roy Cooper stands with radical trans-activists instead of our daughters. As governor, he vetoed bills to keep men out of women’s sports and stop the transgender mutilation of our kids. Even after the horrific injury of Payton McNabb on a North Carolina volleyball court, he STILL put transgenders ahead of our girls. Roy Cooper has spent his entire 40-year career in politics fighting for a radical, woke agenda over the safety of our kids. I will always put our kids safety first and will fight every day against Cooper’s radical extremist agenda,” said Michael Whatley.
