Here Are Some Quotes From The Participants:

Anthony Kearey Bar Owner

"Everyone else can open, picking winners and losers,” Kearey said. “We could get a Bud Light or a Crown and Coke at a restaurant bar, but you can't order the exact same product at a bar." WCNC- Charlotte 8/25/2020

Vinay Patel Hotel Owner

“My frustration started in Phase 2 when the Governor arbitrarily decided who lives and who dies, who wins and who loses,” said Patel, whose company owns a dozen hotels in the Charlotte area. Charlotte Observer 8/25/2020

Sonya Nichols Small Business Owner and NC Senate Candidate 37

“I appreciate that the president and those that are with him are reminding us of some of the great things that we have done. We had a great economy, we had great job numbers. Yes, things have changed because of COVID-19,” said Sonja Nichols, Republican candidate for North Carolina Senate District 37.

Nichols too said she has been watching the differences between the two party conventions.

“What has been exciting to me has been watching the narrative between the two conventions. Let each one tell it: ‘It’s going to be doom and gloom if you vote for the other guy,’ ” she said Spectrum News 8/25/2020

Tariq Bokhari Charlotte city Councilman

Bokhari said he hears from a lot of small business owners.

"It's been a hell of a five months to hear their stories on a daily basis," he said. "It takes a toll on anybody." Greensboro News and Record 8/26/2020

Michael Whatley NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley

"When we look over the course of the next four years, we need a president who has the strength to be able to meet the challenges that are going to face America," said Whatley. "We need to be able to defeat the coronavirus and rebuild our economy. We need to make sure that we're going forward and creating jobs, that we're giving every American child a choice for schools..." Whatley gave the nominating speech to re-nominate the president during the official business of the RNC in Charlotte Monday. He said that if he were in the line-up of RNC speakers throughout the rest of the week, he'd tell viewers in part that Americans should be optimistic looking forward. "We need to celebrate the best of the United States, and [Trump] is the president who has the strength and the vision to see that through and really make sure that every American has the opportunity to live the American dream."
