NCGOP Statement on Biden's Latest Border Blunder

In typical Biden administration fashion, today's so-called Executive Order from the President locks in disastrous policy decisions while claiming to "solve" one of the top issues our nation faces.

"Since Day One of his presidency, Joe Biden has created serious problems across our nation: the economy, the Southern border, and national security. While today's Executive Order gives the appearance of doing something about the invasion he is singularly responsible for enabling, it comes just five months ahead of an election he knows he is losing," said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer. "This cynical ploy is an insult to the American people who have long recognized that his open border has made our nation less safe than it was under President Trump."

BACKGROUND: Nothing President Biden announces today will “shut down” the border or “limit” asylum claims.

He’ll do the opposite, in fact — by establishing a weekly minimum number of illegal aliens allowed into the country and expanding eligibility for his fraudulent asylum scheme.

It’s all part of the Biden administration’s willful facilitation of a full-fledged invasion across our borders — which has already been overrun with millions and millions of unvetted illegal aliens.

Biden’s new order will fast-pass the entry of even more illegal aliens into the country by simply routing them to ports of entry — where they’ll be processed and released into the country to await adjudication years from now.

It’s yet another expansion of illegal immigration under Biden, who has already offered mass amnesty to hundreds of thousands of inadmissible aliens.

Of course, Biden is unapologetic — and says he wishes he’d have dismantled President Trump’s border security sooner.

Biden could actually shut down the border any time he wanted. But all today’s action will do is bring more unvetted aliens from third-world countries directly into our communities.

The only way to END THE BLOODBATH is to re-elect President Trump in November.
