NCGOP Statement On Jacksonville Convention Cancellation

Raleigh NC- The North Carolina Republican Party fully supports President Trump's decision to cancel the RNC Celebration events in Jacksonville out of concerns arising from the spread of COVID-19 in Florida.  Health and safety are the paramount concerns for both President Trump and our Party. 

I am grateful to the North Carolina Republicans who were selected as Delegates and Alternates to the Convention for their flexibility and patience over the past several months. Although the spread of the Coronavirus has forced the NCGOP to conduct our County, District and State Conventions virtually, our Republican Activists and Leaders have continually responded to rapidly changing conditions with enthusiasm and a strong commitment to deliver the votes to carry North Carolina for President Trump, Dan Forest, Thom Tillis and the rest of our outstanding Republican candidates.
