North Carolina Republican Party hires Matt Judge as Executive Director

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) announced that Matt Judge will serve as the party's Executive Director.

Judge, who has served as the NCGOP's Political Director since 2021, succeeds Jason Simmons in the role of the party's Executive Director.

Matt is uniquely qualified to step into the Executive Director role and get to work immediately. His experience along with his commitment to electing Republicans will be critical to winning races up and down the ballot,” said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons.

“It's an honor to take on these responsibilities and build on what we have accomplished," said Judge. “I thoroughly enjoy every day working with our incredible staff and most importantly, the volunteers who devote their time to the Republican Party. We will run a first-class campaign supporting our Republican candidates up and down the ballot to win this November.

Judge is well-known and highly respected for his work as the NCGOP's political directoroverseeing a wide portfolio of responsibilities across the state. He previously served as the Deputy State Director for Trump Victory in 2020 and was Campaign Manager and Political Director for Rep. Dan Bishop in the 2019 9th District special election.
