North Carolina is fortunate to have had the distinguished public service of Congressman Patrick McHenry for over 20 years. Since first being elected to the North Carolina General Assembly in 2002 and congress in 2004, Congressman McHenry has represented his constituents and North Carolina with honor.
A true statesman, Congressman McHenry learned early lessons in his tenure and leveraged that wisdom in achieving higher and higher levels of influence and leadership within the Republican caucus.
The entire country learned how much of a class act Congressman McHenry is during his service as interim Speaker of the House earlier this year. While uncertainty weighed on the nation, Congressman McHenry provided a steady hand as he put the good of the country above all else. That's leadership.
