NCGOP Statement on Republican Legislature's Emergency SCOTUS Appeal

Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party Michael Whatley releases the following statement on the Emergency Appeal filed with the Supreme Court by NC House Speaker Tim Moore and NC Senate Leader Phil Berger.

"We applaud the Republican legislative leaders of the North Carolina General Assembly for filing this appeal to the US Supreme Court," stated Chairman Whatley. "The Constitution is clear - the authority to draw political maps lies with the Legislature, not the courts."
